The Pudong Airport in Shanghai is 40km outside the city, and can take around an hour to get there by taxi or bus. I'm sure your time is valuable, so why not make the trip in 7 minutes instead on the Maglev train.

It's a (very) rapid transport system that you should definitely try while in Shanghai. The magnetic train travels at 431 km/hr and can have you in downtown Shanghai from the airport in under 10 minutes. Even if you're not in a rush, give it a whirl.

It will cost you about 2 or 3 times as much as a bus trip, which is still not that expensive for the unique experience. You can also get a round-trip ticket, if you plan on heading back out to the airport within 7 days.
