For anyone heading to Kenya for a safari tour, you've likely heard of Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi. Many tourist websites describe the many exotic meats you can have grilled and served, such as zebra or even giraffe.

Unfortunately, most of these websites and guides are out of date. Carnivore no longer serves the wide menu of game meat that it once did, due to changing Kenyan laws regarding game animals. You can still order beef and chicken, and there are a few dishes with ostrich and crocodile. The food is still grilled over an open fire-pit, but don't be disappointed if there are no really unusual dishes on the menu.
