There are several places that offer Lord of the Rings tours that take you to many of the locations in the movies. Before you decide which tour company to use, be sure to check them out thoroughly to ensure that they are legit and that they can deliver your money's worth.

There is also a comprehensive guidebook available by Ian Brodie called The Lord of the Rings Location Guidebook. This book actually provides accurate GPS coordinates, so that you can drive to the actual locations on your own. You'll need a 4WD.

There is so much to see that you'll never be able to do it all in one day. Plan for several days of adventuring around Middle Earth!
