Cardiff Bay is the newly developed area of the former Cardiff Docks. There are 8miles of waterfront on the new freshwater lake formed by the barrage. This is now the focal point for entertainment and family recreation and there are plenty of places to visit.
The site includes the Techniquest Science Discovery Centre, Butetown History and Arts Centre, the Norwegian Sailors Church (now also an arts centre), the Goleulong 2000 Lightship and the Millennium Centre, so there's plenty to see and do even when its raining!
