You never know what kinds of new friends you might make while you are on vacation, so be prepared to keep in touch. Rather than jotting down an address, phone number or email on a napkin, have a handful of business cards made up (you can print them yourself on a computer). Faster to hand out, and less likely to get tossed by mistake.

I don't suggest handing out your home address or phone number to complete strangers though. An email address is the safest way to keep contact with someone. You might even create a new address with Hotmail to keep your regular address private.
