Is conquering a mountain something you'd like to add to your list of life's accomplishments? Tackling Everest is probably not for everyone, but there is one great mountain experience that just about anyone could try.
Mount Kilimanjaro is nearly 19,000 feet above sea level but considered a "walkable" mountain. Not necessarily a stroll in the park, but you can reach the top without actively scrambling up the mountainside. As long as you are reasonably fit, you can climb Kili.
Kilimanjaro is near the border between Kenya and Tanzania, both countries with excellent tourist service.
